Choosing the right sensor can be a complex task, but Everight makes it manageable. By beginning with the physical attributes and progressively addressing the electronics and communication interfaces, we can guide you to the ideal sensor solution for your application.

Things We Consider
  1. Measurement Range
  2. Communication Protocol
  3. Accuracy and Resolution
  4. Environmental Factors
  5. Mounting Configurations
  6. Liquid Type
  7. Budget Constraints

Our Most Commonly Used Liquid Level Sensors

The Gill 1612 is a legacy product and typically only appropriate for exisiting applications. Please contact Everight Position for documentation and/or information on replacements.

LevelDefend liquid level sensors are custom designed using Gill technology to deliver proven performance in critical defence applications including military transport vehicles and military marine craft.

The Gill 4223 liquid level sensor is a lightweight, solid-state capacitive liquid level sensor available in an almost unlimited combination of length and mounting arrangements, all delivered in short lead times. It is compatible with a wide range of liquids and is able to operate in high temperatures.

The sensor is a form fit and function replacement for the R-Series sensors as well as bringing the flexibility to be adapted to a broad range of mechanical mounting configurations. Standard stock adaptors are available for 1, 2, 3 & 5 bolt mounting as well as metric and imperial male thread designs.

The Gill 7010 liquid level sensor is available in lengths up to 2m long and is designed for environments where monitoring of a variety of liquid types is required. The sensor uses solid-state capacitive technology to sense the level of the liquid, with no moving parts, floats or other mechanical linkages to provide excellent long term reliability.

Applications Across Industries:
Delivering Precision in Every Motion

Defense

Accurate fuel level readings are crucial for operational safety in combat vehicles and armored personnel carriers. These sensors can also track coolant and oil levels to warn of equipment reliability issues.

Aerospace

When designing the GB1 GameBird, Game Composites turned to Gill Sensors and Controls for the critical fuel measurement. As part of the feedback to the pilot, the Gill 4223 series (4223-00-3SN-620 ) liquid level sensor is used in the acrotank.

Motorsports

When a team began developing a new engine for Le Mans Daytona (LMDh) races they turned to Everight Position and Gill Sensors for critical oil level measurement.  Located at the front of the engine, the Gill 4223 capacitive technology provides reliable oil information

Industrial

In healthcare packaging maintaining a clean and reliable environment are key. The Gill 7104 ‘LevelSlick’ sensor has revolutionized the packaging and dispensing of dental acrylic, particularly for dental varnish, which plays a crucial role in preventing tooth decay.

Custom Sensors Tailored to Your Exact Specifications

When one of our 100 million off-the-shelf sensors doesn’t meet your unique technical requirements, our team steps in to deliver custom solutions that fit perfectly into your application.  Our active relationship with the manufacturers allows us to easily customize encoders and sensors in ways the big guys simply can’t do.  We often find that our customers are over-spec’d and spending more than necessary to get the job done.  While a dump truck will get a few bags of mulch home from Home Depot, so will a Toyota Tacoma. Plus, the Tacoma will be easier to navigate in the parking lot.

With over 75 years of combined experience with sensors, specifically encoders, our team has the deep product knowledge and manufacturing partnerships needed to adapt existing products to your exact needs.

Why Choose Us?

  • OEM – Reduce ‘systems costs’ – Easier, quicker installation reduces labor costs, removes unnecessary mounting adapters and fixtures such as couplings, and complex wiring. Customer specific labeling and part numbers available with 2D barcodes for easier inventory management.
  • Obsolescence – Replace an existing sensor with one that is a 1:1 drop-in replacement, reducing unnecessary risks for changing an existing system. “If it’s not broke, don’t fix it”
  • Challenging Environments – Perhaps a submersible sensor is needed or one that fits in a specific physical envelope. Having worked on custom applications for over fifteen years we’ve seen a lot and have the know-how to help you find an appropriate solution.
  • MOQ 1: Sometimes a custom solution is needed for a small scale project. We provide the same world-class support regardless of customer or project size.

Our Customization Process:

  • Discovery: We start by understanding your unique problem or technical specification. What challenge does your project face, and how can we solve it with a customized sensor or encoder?
  • Problem-Solving: Our team collaborates closely with you to develop a solution that meets your needs, whether it’s a simple off the shelf encoder, or something we are able to customize specific to your exact specifications.
  • Budget Considerations: We work with you to explore various options that align with your financial plan without compromising on quality or performance.  We don’t over-spec’d and try to provide exactly what is needed, both in product and in quantity.

Availability & Timeline: Timing is crucial in your industry. We ensure quick availability of your custom encoder or help find similar products that can meet your timeline needs.
