In its simplest form a rotary encoder provides information on the position or motion of a shaft. Multi Turn encoders can also provide information on the number of turns. While traditional contact based potentiometers are still appropriate for some basic applications, most modern control systems rely on optical, magnetic, capacitive or inductive technology for robust, reliable and high resolution sensing.
With some manufacturers offering over 100 million unique part numbers the options can be overwhelming, but that is where Everight Position comes in. We work side-by-side with customers to understand their application, offer novel solutions and provide insight to ensure a seamless integration.
The POSITAL UCD-…-H200 series is a robust, flexible alternative to geared potentiometers such as the GP09. Rather than relying on a contact-based potentiometer, the H200 uses an internal non-contact based Hall-effect sensor. This provides not only more reliable readings, but the flexibility to scale the output range during installation.
POSITAL UCD analog encoders are a novel alternative to traditional rotary encoders. Relying on a non-contact Hall sensor, UCD encoders are scalable by the end user, offer 13 bit resolution and multiturn counting.
IncOder CORE 70mm is a non-contact, lightweight absolute rotary inductive encoder fully contained in a printed circuit board kit. The hollow bore design is suited for integration into rotary actuators. The position sensor utilizes a unique field-proven inductive technique, delivering highly repeatable, reliable, temperature-stable measurement performance.
POSITAL CCD Hollow Shaft Kit Encoders are ideal for Integration to motors, robot joints and other challenging installations. A large 30mm through hollow shaft diameter and a battery-free Weigand based multiturn counter make this sensor as unique as the applications it is used on.
POSITAL encoders support a number of common industrial ethernet protocols, including EtherNet/IP ( Rockwell Automation) , PROFINET (Siemens) , EtherCat (Beckhoff), MODBUS TCP/IP and Powerlink. Please contact Everight directly for the most up-to-date product offerings and manuals. For 2D/3D drawings of specific encoders please contact Everight Position.
POSITAL encoders with CANopen and SAE J1939 interfaces support a wide variety of applications, from industrial automation to mobile machinery. For 2D/3D drawings of specific encoders please contact Everight Position.
