When choosing components for a hazardous environment it is important to have a trusted partner. For over a decade engineers have relied on Everight Position for rotary, linear and tilt sensors for these challenging applications.
POSITAL IXARC explosion proof rotary encoders now include UL hazardous environments certified models. These UL Class I Division 2 sensors are suitable for use in:
POSITAL is expanding its range of IXARC explosion proof rotary encoders to include UL hazardous environments certified models. These devices are compliant with UL Class I Division 2 hazardous environments for environments with gas and dust. Built upon POSITAL’s magnetic sensing technology, these encoders are available with a wide variety of communication interfaces including Ethernet, CAN bus, analog and incremental. Absolute outputs also feature battery-free, gearingfree Weigand based multiturn counting. Stainless and aluminum housing options.
For over a decade POSITAL has offered rotary encoders with ATEX Zone 1 and 21 approvals. Available with a broad variety of options, these products can be specified to the needs of a wide range of applications. Communication interface, housing material and different connection options are among a few of the choices.
Building off POSITAL’s ACS inclinometer technology, POSITAL ATEX Zone 1 & 21 rated inclinometers provide single and dual axis tilt data in an easy to install form factor. The MEMS based inclinometer provides reliable, solid-state sensing for years to come. Analog (voltage, current), CANopen, J1939, SSI and Modbus communication options further supports easy integration.
POSITAL Zone 2 & 22 rotary encoders build upon POSITAL’s robust industrial encoders. With upgraded sealings and connection to meet ATEX requirements, these products offer an economical sensor option for OEM’s and projects alike.
