Part no.: Netzer DS-37
• 37mm diameter
• SSI, BiSS-C
• Up to 20 bit resolution
• High tolerance to EMI, RFI and magnetic fields
The DS-37 is a member of the DS series of Electric Encoders a product line based on Netzer Precision Motion Sensor proprietary technology. Lightweight, compact and high performance (up to 19 bit resolution) these encoders provide unparalleled performance. The Electric Encoder is unique in being holistic, i.e., its output reading is the averaged outcome of the whole area of the rotor, This feature makes the Electric Encoder™ forgiving to mounting tolerances, mechanical wander etc. The absence of components such as ball bearings, flexible couplers, glass disc, light sources and detectors, along with very low power consumption makes the Electric Encoder virtually failure free. The internally shielded, DC operated Electric Encoder includes an electric field generator, a field receiver, a sinusoidal shaped dielectric rotor, and processing electronics. The output of Electric Encoder is a digital serial with absolute position single turn. The combination of precision, low profile, low weight and high reliability have made Netzer Precision encoders particularly suitable to a wide variety of industrial automation applications.

For applications where sudden movements, shocks, and vibrations are likely to be encountered, it is important to have sensors with fast response and a clean signal output. POSITAL’s dynamic inclinometers combine two measurement principles using two different MEMS sensors: a 3D acceleration sensor and a 3D gyroscope.
Surge relief is an important component in many liquid handling systems. Whether it be a pipeline, storage terminal or loading station, these systems help to protect people and the environment around it.
Seeing Is Believing: POSITAL 3D drawings now available for millions of encoders
POSITAL’s product finder has generated full specification custom datasheets for years. Rather than having to guess on specifications from a confusing product configurator, POSITAL provides part specific datasheets in real time for the given part number of interest.
Introduction to Intrinsically Safe Sensors
Intrinsically safe (IS) sensors are unable to produce a spark strong enough to cause ignition. Learn how this is accomplished and design considerations when using IS sensors.
