Part no.: S119
• Body Diameter: 19mm
• Sensor Mounting: M5 rod eyes or body clamps
• Available in any measurement angle from 0-5mm to 0-800m
• Sealed to IP68 10bar, 100msw, 145psi(for 350bar sealing see S125)
Based on Positeks well-proven, non-contacting PIPS® (Positek Inductive Position Sensor) technology, the new S119 features a choice of industry standard output options calibrated to a user-specified travel range up to 350 mm. With typical independent linearity of ? ± 0.25% FSO at 20°C, the fully submersible push rod style sensor includes IP68-10 bar/IP69K environmental protection in a robust 19 mm diameter 316 stainless steel housing with a wide choice of mounting options.

SSI hardware is fairly simple. Just use any RS-422 transceiver to generate the differential signals from/to the microcontroller port pins. Keep reading to learn about the different implementations of SSI hardware.
Potentiometers That Make Sense for Sensing
Despite their perceived simplicity, potentiometers can still be an appropriate option in today’s ever-complicated automation industry. Fundamentally a variable resistor, modern potentiometers also offer more traditional outputs such as voltage and current which are common to more expensive sensors.
Seeing Is Believing: POSITAL 3D drawings now available for millions of encoders
POSITAL’s product finder has generated full specification custom datasheets for years. Rather than having to guess on specifications from a confusing product configurator, POSITAL provides part specific datasheets in real time for the given part number of interest.
For applications where sudden movements, shocks, and vibrations are likely to be encountered, it is important to have sensors with fast response and a clean signal output. POSITAL’s dynamic inclinometers combine two measurement principles using two different MEMS sensors: a 3D acceleration sensor and a 3D gyroscope.
