The intrinsically safe 10 bar M114 is an ATEX and IECEx approved affordable, durable, high-accuracy position sensor.
The M114, like all Positek sensors, provides a linear output proportional to displacement. Each unit is supplied with the output calibrated to the travel required by the customer, from 0-5mm to 0-800mm and with full EMC protection built in. The sensor is very robust, the body and push rod being made of stainless steel for long service life and environmental resistance. Derived from the popular M101, the M114 has been designed for applications where the sensor may be completely submerged in water up to a pressure of 10Bar, but good sensor performance and cost are still important.
Positek intrinsically safe sensors are designed to be used with a galvanically isolated amplifier. Approved galvanic isolation amplifiers (X005) are available from Positek; there is a choice of 0.5-9.5V or 4-20mA transmission outputs.
The sensor can be installed with a cable length up to 1km between the sensor and the amplifier.

Deciphering the Ideal Shafted Encoder: Beyond Optical vs. Magnetic
Welcome to a journey through the evolution and application of rotary sensors, with a special focus on magnetic sensing technology as presented by Everight Position, an Advanced Sales Partner of POSITAL products.
Many applications require linear motion to be monitored for system control or to ensure safety. With lengths ranging from 1 m to 30m (3’ to 98’), LINARIX linear sensors are available in many configurations to meet an application’s requirements. Options include a wide variety of outputs (including analog, fieldbus and Ethernet variants), heavy duty housings and compact design.
When COTS Isn’t Enough: Why You Need a NIST 800.171 Compliant Supplier Like Everight Position
The COTS Conundrum: In today’s digital landscape, Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) sensors seem like an easy button for compliances purposes. They’re readily available, cost-effective, and offer familiar functionality. But when it comes to identifying strategic suppliers, COTS alone isn’t enough.
Synchronous Serial Interface (SSI) is a widely used serial interface standard for industrial applications between a master (i.g. controller) and a slave (i.g. sensor).
