Hazardous Environment Options

While finding the right sensor solution for ‘Hazardous Environments’ may be more complicated, it doesn’t mean that it can’t be done. Everight can’t replace a Safety Engineer, but Everight can help navigate linear, rotary sensor and inclinometer sensors that have been formally rated for use in hazardous environments to ATEX, IECEx and CSA requirements.

Not all hazardous environments are created equally. In addition to sensor specification, it is important to understand the hazard that is present and what formal certification may be necessary.

Technical Notes

CSA-Certified Sensors: Reliability in Hazardous Locations

CSA also certifies sensors for temperature, level, flow, and vibration, ensuring safe performance across a wide range of industrial needs. Whether you’re monitoring dewpoint in a refinery or tracking valve position in a fuel depot, CSA certification means your sensor is built to protect.

Precision and Safety: The Role of Linear Sensors in Measuring Tank Expansion for LNG Storage

The measurement of tank expansion is a critical element in managing the integrity of liquid natural gas (LNG) storage tanks. As LNG is subject to significant temperature fluctuations—from cryogenic storage to ambient conditions—the tanks that contain it must safely accommodate expansion and contraction. Ensuring reliable measurement of these subtle changes is essential not only for operational efficiency but also for the safety of personnel and the surrounding environment.
